Update: they reached out and were very apologetic about the miscommunication with our move and offered to move our storage unit for free. We agreed and everything went smoothly. While my original review stands and I would not recommend them for any sort of multi-step move, we do appreciate them making things right and I think they would do a good job moving from point A to point B. Original review: Overall, if you are just moving from point A to point B they would probably be fine but if your move requires any level of coordination I cannot recommend them. We had a 3 week gap between moving out of our old house and into our new house. After talking to Ronaldo we agreed the best plan was to put our things in storage with him. Moving out was fine (although they did not use any floor or corner protectors). Moving in was a mess. First, the scheduler Sofia had changed phone numbers so my texts went unanswered until I got a call from her new number a few days before the move. When I asked to add a stop at our personal storage unit I was initially told yes, they’ll be there at 9 am. At 8 am I got a call telling me they wouldn’t be there until 10:30 because Ronaldo forgot the keys to the truck at home. He then asked if we had any stops other than the storage unit and I had to remind him that he already had the majority of our things in his storage. The extra stop then became a no “due to time constraints”. They clearly forgot they had to load our things from their storage and were now getting a late start. We were told the truck would be at our house by 1. Around 2, I was told they’d be arriving at 3. To be fair, there was a lot of traffic but if they had started loading on time they would have avoided the traffic. They didn’t finish unloading until after 6 PM so we lost a whole day of unpacking, not to mention the childcare we had coordinated for our four kids for the morning and early afternoon.
Movers were timely and careful with our belongings! Super friendly and efficient, would use again!

We had a very good experience with Ronaldo and his team. They were careful and professional, and all of our things were delivered very well. Nothing was damaged. We just moved two miles to a new home, so it was mostly big stuff, but I was happy they also go a lot of our bins for me. If you have a lot of stuff, like a full house of furniture (ours was four bedrooms plus other rooms), you will likely need them for two days with one day packing and the next to deliver, so plan accordingly. They were on time, and they took great care of everything.

I hired U Relax Moving & Hauling for two moves totaling over $5,000. The owner Ronaldo offered to store my belongings in a climate controlled storage unit for $250 a month while I relocated. What I discovered months later is that my belongings were never in a storage unit… they were in the back of an untagged moving truck with a broken rear window, exposed to months of temperature extremes. When I arrived to retrieve a few boxes, nothing was organized or properly labeled despite being a full pack and move service. My grandmother’s grandfather clock, Pottery Barn furniture, a NordicTrack treadmill, and irreplaceable items including my son’s childhood artwork were thrown together in a deteriorating trailer. When I asked for the storage address in Baltimore, he refused to provide it. When I asked him to deliver my belongings to Florida as promised, he refused. His response when asked to confirm receipt of a formal notice was ‘I’m not going to off load again.’ I have everything documented in photos and text messages. I am currently pursuing action through the Maryland Attorney General and the FMCSA. Do not trust this company with your belongings. This company also offered a “move out clean” when they packed and moved my items. The house was filthy. I had to track down the owner, who is nearly impossible to get in touch with…and have him send the cleaners back. Horrific experience. Be sure to read Yelp reviews. Ronaldo markets his company well, but behind the scenes, things are not as they seem. Proceed with caution!!!
We recently used U relax DMV movers to move a 4 bedroom homes contents. Management was very attentive before the move and it was decided we needed 2 trucks and 5 movers. The day of the move the movers arrived with a pull behind trailer and we were told a second truck would soon follow. The home items were slowly packaged ( paying per hour) and loaded into the trailer. The second truck was a no show and we were told the movers would drop off the loaded trailer at our new home and be emptied the following day while the 2nd truck loaded the remaining items to move. When I voiced my displeasure the movers emptied the trailer at the new home and scheduled another truck for the next day. The second day drug on loading the remaining items in an actual moving van. ( Per hour charges) and unloaded at our new home. The final price we paid was nearly double our quote and Management was quick to demand payment before the job was totally completed. The movers were great but a language barrier did complicate the move. We would not recommend U Relax DMV Movers due to what seemed to be a bait and switch on pricing. Edit * I guess a two star review is all they need! Terrible service!

I’ve used Urelax Movers twice now to move items from my parents’ house, and both experiences were fantastic. They took the time upfront to understand exactly what needed to be moved so they could arrive with the right-sized truck, the right number of staff, and a realistic estimate. Their hourly rates were very reasonable, and the team was both attentive and efficient throughout the entire process. I did not think it possible to do what we were asking them to do in getting the magnitude of our stuff loaded into what seemed like an underestimated (on us) storage capability. Scheduled a move time with the company. Had to push back the time but they said it was fine. Then the day before the scheduled move they texted confirming the date and time then said “you can find someone else”.

They didn't come when promised, twice. Sent two guys and a small woman to move a 300 pound filing cabinet up 4 stairs into the house. They didn't bring a truck to haul off items for trash as promised, then called more guys who brought a full truck, then smashed the furniture for removal all over my driveway and left shards of wood and screws all over the driveway. If I hadn't noticed and swept I'd likely gotten a flat tire. Only upside is they were polite and got the job done once they finally came. Update: The owner offered me my money back as an apology for his staff's behavior so I'm adding a star.

Everyone knows moving sucks. These guys were great. All the furniture was handled with great care and the packing was excellent. Reasonable prices (fully transparent with no hidden costs), hard working, very accomodating. They were so helpful rearranging furniture in the new place and fully reassembled some bunk beds perfectly. Will be using them again!
We just finished a one-day move from DC to NYC with U-Relax, and I can’t say enough good things about them! Between the two of us, we’ve moved a lot—I’ve done it eight times, and my husband has moved with the military more times than we can count. This was, hands down, the best moving experience we’ve ever had. From the start, the communication was spot-on. They made everything so easy, keeping us updated on timing and logistics so there were no surprises. Then came moving day, and wow—they were on another level. The team was incredibly efficient during the move-out, faster than anything we’ve ever seen. When we got to NYC, things didn’t slow down, even when there were some hiccups with building access. They handled it all with such professionalism and kept everything moving smoothly. The crew was not only quick and careful but also so friendly and accommodating throughout the day. If we could use U-Relax for every move in the future, we absolutely would. They made what’s usually a stressful experience completely stress-free. We’re so grateful for their hard work and couldn’t recommend them more!
This was the worst moving company. They damaged and broke so much of my furniture. They scratched the floor at my new place.. They left items behind.and returned to get them in a Honda accord not a moving van or moving truck. The kitchen table didn’t fit. They dropped the drawers out into the road while trying to shove it in and laughed. They left several boxes and pieces of furniture behind and I had to call for additional help moving. I sent them pictures of the broken furniture, the rips on my bed and the footprints all over my white couch. They were very unresponsive. After my many phone and calls text messages, they promised to file with their insurance, but never did and they ignore all of my follow up requests to remedy their horrible service. Their service was absolutely horrible and their customer service even worse! Hiring this company could cost you thousands of dollars in damage like it did me! U Relax moved my furniture November 17, 2024-- They cannot claim there is no record of working with me. I have the proof of payment.
DO NOT USE GOOGLE PHONE NUMBER!!!! Use number on their direct website. Unfortunately, Ronaldo is having trouble with scammers taking over his Google account contact number. I was very close to getting scammed until I realized something was up. I called the number on their website and Ronaldo answered. He could not have been sweeter. He was very helpful and kind. I told him I would help out by leaving a Google review. I hope this helps him and his business and for his customers to not get scammed. He does not deserve this. Thank you Ronaldo for your amazing customer service, your kind words and your quick response and service. You will be used for as long as I am in the area!
This company tried to scam MY business by pretending to be google to “reinstate my business page”. They wanted me to send them $500?! i was instantly suspicious so my husband called the number on his phone and asked if they were a moving company and they said yes. he confronted them about the texts to my business number and the instantly hung up. DO NOT give this business your money! Update: My point exactly is you don’t offer google services but decided to text me that you do. (contact was initiated from you all) This is the phone number connected to this business.
